If You Wish To Love Me, Don't Make Me Wait So Long!

If you wish to love me,
Don't make me wait so long!
Off my feet just sweep me,
And carry me along.

If you wish to love me,
Don't wait for me to grow!
Pluck this bud, that's me,
Before a gust may blow.

If you wish to love me,
Don't wait for me to sing!
Slide some notes towards me,
With words on which to cling.

If you wish to love me,
Don't wait for me to nod!
Knock my senses off me,
I'll love it, Oh My God!

If you wish to love me,
Don't wait for me to move!
Few steps towards me,
And keep me on the groove.

If you wish to love me,
Don't wait for me to say!
Tell those things which suit me,
And carry all the day.

If you wish to love me,
Don't make me wait so long!
Off my feet just sweep me,
And carry me along.

Glad That You Came!

( In the honor of a friend who chose to come... )

You mesmerized me from the shadows,
You enchanted me with your silhouette,
You remained hidden in my mysteries,
You chose to make me weave the dreams
WHO ARE YOU?

Like a butterfly you sit,
Glowing in many hues
Hard though I had tried
You didn't leave the clues
WHO ARE YOU?

When you pass along
The place blooms with you
The fragrance that you leave
Gives flowers their due
WHO ARE YOU?

The eyes when they see
You coming along the new
Roads that were deserted
Have many following you,
WHO ARE YOU?

Thank God you chose to come
Whatever be the reason behind it
I'll just live longer knowing you are there
My platonic love will find solace ,
And rest in peace
Without you
It would rust in piece.
You may not communicate
You may not know my yearnings
Neither will I tell, for I care for you.
Till perpetuity will I remain thankful, and
Glad that you came!

Thanks for making my day!

If you mean what you say,
Then, you've made up my day.
......................................................

Dance on the lilies and float down the trallis,
Fly through the hills and slide down the valleys,
Swish as you move and sway as you groove,
Touch me bit soft and ask me to prove.

Heart cannot hide and eyes say it all,
Strength keeps eluding and I tend to fall,
Words keep on failing and lips keep on quivering,
Strangely I sweat and keep on just shivering.

What else shall I do and keep myself sane,
This feeling has often been lover's bane.
You are my strength and you make me weak!
Just one fluttering glance is all that I seek.

Just say once more and say what you said,
At least I will peacefully lie on my bed,
If you mean what you say,
Then, you've made up my day!

How do I say I love You?

This is yearning of a lover who pines for his love so elusive and oh! so distant. Alas! few souls are never destined to meet in person.
(...Are you listening, my friend, my love, my... )
...............................................................................

Separated by seven seas and five lands,
A few mountains and many lakes too,
How do I say I love You?

From photos you smile at me
Your laughter gives the clue,
How do I say I love You?

Is it necessary to hold your hands?
Can't I hold you in memory, a minute or two,
How do I say I love You?

Is it necessary to feel the body and touch,
Couldn't we be related by soul, for new,
How do I say I love You?

First I wished to write the words,
But, you believe in the words, audible
But, are the words important or meanings thereof,
Meanings I have, but words I lack
Is it O.K., or should I choose a new hue,
How do I say I love You?

Then, I thought to write it dipped in my blood,
But postponed it for some thoughts that flew,
Won't like to soak your hands in blood,
Or, let you be caught red-handed,
For you have strings attached elsewhere too,
How do I say I love You?

Old is the want, expressions are new,
You my love, are fresh as dew
You are the mystery, I never knew,
You are the puzzle, sans the clue,
I am torn apart my love, can you sew?
How do I say I love You?

..............................................................

Separated by seven seas and five lands,
A few mountains and many lakes too,
How do I say I love You?

Hooked Right Away!

This poem is dedicated to one very lovely and charming Ms...In your honor,

When you sauntered my way,
I was hooked right away!
....................................................
The aura of your beauty,
The grace of your walk,
The fragrance that pervades,
The syllables of your talk;
I was hooked right away.

The cascade of the laughter,
The brilliance of the smile,
The looks that are bewitching,
They befriend, they beguile;
I was hooked right away.

Clothes what they hide,
And what they give away,
Their flow and their hugs,
The way that they sway;
I was hooked right away.

You walked in my heart,
Right through my eyes,
I feel completely befuddled,
To sit or to rise;
I was hooked right away.

The sweat of my palm,
The shake of my leg,
A few missed heart-beats,
Said it's YOU an I beg;
I was hooked right away.
............................................

When you sauntered my way,
I was hooked right away.

O' Where Are You, You Young Lochinvar

With terrorism raging its head everywhere, be it the streets of Mumbai or towers of New York the most affected are those who are least protected. It's sad but true, that governments across the globe have failed to give security to general populace. In this scenario what else to do but turn to a mythical hero for the help. The hero is Young Lochinvar the character created by Sir Walter Scott.

O where are you, you Young Lochinvar,
So faithful in love, so dauntless in war.
We need you now, as we needed you then,
This is bit serious, if that was bit fun.
No damsels in distress, no prizes are here,
Someone is needed, to wipe out the tear.
Warnings are plenty, and cautions galore,
Before you begin it, Sir please, please be sure.
For knowledge is vital, and things you should know,
That enemy is faceless, and nameless is foe.
With bomb in the bag, in the midst of the mart,
Has love on his lips, but hatred in heart.
O where are you, you Young Lochinvar,
So faithful in love, so dauntless in war.
We need you now, as we needed you then,
This is bit serious, if that was bit fun.
Begin with that child, seen searching around,
Go, ask him, and find, what he lost in the ground.
With tears down the cheeks, flowing right from the eyes,
You may not hear, for suppressed are his cries.
Frantic are his moves, O what does he gather,
Bones and the ashes, and remains of his father.
Killed unawares as he was, in front of his eyes,
No future is safe, and the present defies.
O where are you, you Young Lochinvar,
So faithful in love, so dauntless in war.
We need you now, as we needed you then,
This is bit serious, if that was bit fun.
If you are the Knight, as they call you with pride,
Come lift us from dismay, come please be the guide.
For those placed in power, we just can't go trust,
Their interests are many, and many are their thrusts.
But before you begin, lets all make it clear,
We just want the justice, just now, just here.
Deliver us from hatred, deliver us from fear,
Go sooth all the heart, Go wipe all the tear.
O where are you, you Young Lochinvar,
So faithful in love, so dauntless in war
We need you now, as we needed you then,
This is bit serious, if that was bit fun.

Am I A Fool?

I don't understand a few things,
Am I a Fool?

You can easily fight with strangers,
But to love them is really hard,
I don't understand this,
Am I a fool?

We are very polite with unknowns,
But impolite with whom we live,
I don't understand this,
Am I a fool?

We are ready to help the haves,
But dither in helping the have-nots
I don't understand this,
Am I a fool?

No religion teaches us to hate,
But religious ones now pander hatred,
I don't understand this,
Am I a fool?

Men and Women were created to celebrate 365 days together,
Then why is it necessary to set aside a Women's Day for celebration,
I don't understand this,
Am I a fool?

I said, "See, I am building a Paradise
Love, Charity, Concern, Care, Help
Will reverberate in its valley,
Come, See I am building a Paradise".
They laughed and said,
"Name it as The Fool's Paradise".
I want to be Nice,
They tell me Be Smart,
I want to be Good
They tell me Be Better
To be Humble
Is considered to be Weak,
To be Friendly
Is considered to be Impractical
To be Helpful
Is considered to be Ancient
I don't understand these few things,
Am I a fool?

But, I have decided to live in my Fool's Paradise,
Hoping for a day when the whole world becomes,
WEAK,
IMPRACTICAL,
ANCIENT, and
FOOLISH,
Which I Am Today.

Nobody's Daughter

Nobody's Daughter

What lies there?
A shapeless shape or a formless form,
Tucked secluded I saw, lying on the platform.
Oh! It moved a bit, and stretched anew,
A human form it was, and I got the clue.
And as I closed, angst showed on the face,
Body of a girl, bereft of grace.
Thirteen maybe fourteen, she looked no more
Shifted uneasily, from experiences of yore.
Expecting me to fathom, as men had done,
Feel here and there, and have lusty fun.
She looked beyond years, though young, as I told,
Matured by the looks and the lust which they hold.
The doors for her opened, not out, but in,
Withdrawing into herself for committing a sin.
Ashamed, what she carried between her thighs,
Belonging to none, yet belonging of guys.
Her eyes met mine, as if asking a thing,
Was I window-shopping, or will I buy something.
As time ticked past, she grew more restless,
Was I here for something, or just for a fuss.
My hands moved down as I went for the purse,
Her broken lips curled, going for a curse.
A crispy note appeared so swift in my palm,
She glanced here and there and then became calm.
Her voice I heard, when she asked me, " Where?"
My mind was puzzled, as I fixed my stare.
" Daughter, take the money, go out, go and eat."
She sprang in no time, and was bang on her feet.
" Whose daughter I am, Whose father you are,
No relatives, no friends, not near, nor far.
Who gave you permission to call me as such,
When I am not asking, then why give me crutch.
And, I am not your daughter, and don't be my father,
I am not a beggar, I buy, not gather.
Buy if you want, but don't lay a claim,
You men look so different, but sound just the same.
In the glare of the day ,you talk like a sage,
In the dark you treat us, as if animals in a cage.
My body you can buy, the soul I won't sell,
Don't promise me the heavens, I'm comfortable in the hell."
It was then that I saw, her eyes dropped a tear,
Tried as I can, but my gaze couldn't steer.
I moved my hands softly, to comfort, and to say,
She stooped low and clear, and ran, ran away.
Her sobs hung around, as her form moved away,
Her cries said that all, what her words couldn't say.
I stood there motionless, have I done a wrong,
Why were there cries, when I tried for the song?
Emotions run amok, and I hardly could start,
Have I broken it more, her already shattered heart.
